Welcome to Brick

Brick is a CRM built for one realtor and the people they work with.

What Brick is for#

Brick keeps every client, every transaction, and every conversation about them in one place. Instead of your mail in one tab, a spreadsheet in another, and your notes on paper, you get one app where all of it is tied to the person it belongs to.

There are four places you will spend almost all of your time: the Inbox, Contacts, Deals, and Tasks. They sit at the top of the sidebar on the left. Brick opens on the Inbox, and everything else is one click or one keystroke away. See Sidebar, search, and keyboard shortcuts.

The Inbox#

The Inbox holds every email, text message, and phone call with your clients in one list. Each row is a conversation: one email thread, one text thread, or one call, missed calls and voicemails included.

You work the Inbox like a to-do list. A conversation stays Open until you have dealt with it, then you close it and it drops off the list. The number beside Inbox in the sidebar is how many are still open. See Inbox.

Brick fills the Inbox from your own Google account, so connecting one is the first thing to do. See Email and calendar accounts.

Contacts#

A contact is a person you work with: a client, a lead, or the agent on the other side. Everything else in Brick hangs off a contact. Their emails, calls, texts, meetings, deals, tasks and notes all attach to their record.

A contact holds a name, email addresses, phone numbers, a budget, and any extra fields you decide to track. See Contacts.

Deals#

A deal is one transaction: helping someone buy, sell, lease, or lease out a property. Every deal names the contacts on it and carries the money facts: the amount and your commission.

Each deal moves through a pipeline, which is your own ordered set of stages. Brick starts you with three pipelines (Buyers, Sellers, and Renters), and every one of them is yours to change. See Deals.

Tasks#

Tasks are the things you have to do. A task is a short note to yourself with an optional due date, and it can be linked to the contacts and deals it is about.

The number beside Tasks in the sidebar counts the open tasks that are due today or already overdue. Linked tasks also show on the record they belong to, so a client's page tells you what you still owe them.
