Email signature

Brick puts your signature on the mail you send from the app, and shows it to you while you write, so nothing is a surprise after the message has gone.

You need a connected Google account before any of this matters, since that is what Brick sends through.

Where the signature lives#

Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar, then Email personalization.

There is a switch that turns the signature on or off for everything you send, and an editor underneath it. Brick writes a starting signature for you from your profile (your name and your phone number), so there is something usable there before you touch it.

Leave it alone and it keeps up with your profile: change your phone number in Settings → Profile and the signature follows. Edit it and Brick saves your version instead, and stops rewriting it from your profile from then on.

The editor does bold, italic and links. There are no fonts, no colors and no HTML.

Seeing it while you write#

Open a composer and your signature is already there, under the body you are typing, in the same place and with the same spacing the person receiving it will see.

It scrolls with the body rather than sitting pinned to the bottom of the window, so a long email pushes it down exactly the way it will in Gmail. What you are looking at is what sends.

You cannot type in it. Signatures are edited in one place. A tweak that applied to a single email would be a change you would not remember making.

Adding or dropping it on one email#

The pen icon in the composer toolbar opens a short menu.

Add signature and Remove signature override the setting for that one email. An explicit Add works even when the switch in Settings is off, so a first email to a new lead can carry the full block without you changing a setting you will forget to change back.

Manage signature opens Settings → Email personalization in a new tab, so editing your signature never costs you the draft you are in the middle of.
