One inbox to track all calls, texts and emails

Email, texts, calls and voicemails now arrive in one place. The Inbox is Brick's landing surface (/app opens straight into it), and every conversation with a client sits in the same list, whichever channel it came in on.

Work it to zero#

Every conversation is Open or Closed. Unhandled inbound is born Open: a client's email, a text, a missed call, a voicemail. Anything you started, and any call you actually answered, is born Closed. You have already handled it. A new message on a closed thread reopens it.

Closing is one key (e). Replying closes the conversation for you, with an undo in the toast if you meant to keep it around. Auto-advance moves you to the next one, so a morning's triage is a run of keystrokes, not a run of clicks.

A blue dot tracks read and unread on its own axis, exactly like Gmail. A closed conversation you never opened still shows its dot.

Saved views down the side#

Five views ship with the Inbox: All Conversations, Emails, Texts, Calls and Closed. You can rename, duplicate or delete any of them but the anchor. Add your own: filter by type, status, date, contact, call outcome, or any attribute on the contact behind the thread, then save it.

Drafts, Outbox, Reminders and Email Templates sit underneath as their own destinations, each with a live count.

It updates while you watch#

The list polls a cheap watermark every few seconds and refetches only when something actually changed. A client's reply appears as a new bubble while you are reading the thread. Your cursor, your selection and the conversation you have open never move underneath you.

Names, not addresses#

A conversation matches every contact whose email address or phone number appears in it. Unmatched threads are titled by the address or the number (formatted for reading, (416) 555-0134, never the raw E.164) and offer Create contact or Link to existing in the side panel. Once the contact exists, every past conversation with that address matches retroactively.
